Ultimate 15w40 engine oils are high performance diesel engine oils designed to meet the performance requirements of EPA 2007-compliant vehicles defined by API CJ-4. This includes high-output, low-emission engines equipped with Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) and Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF). They offer increased overall performance and better protection for the new engines – and are approved for use in older vehicles, too. Ultimate engine oils are designed for mixed fleet applications.

Passes API Engine Oil Licensing and Certification System
Ultimate 15w40 oils exceed the rigorous industry engine performance requirements for the API Engine Oil Licensing and Certification System (EOLCS) and have been tested in accordance with the CMA code of practice. It’s important to resist any temptation to use anything but CJ-4 oil in an EPA 2007-compliant engine, because it could cause increased plugging of after treatment devices, which could lead to reduced fuel efficiency and higher maintenance.
